Danielle LaPorte is an author, thought leader, and entrepreneur who had built great success in her books, but her continued exploration into new products had sparked an opportunity to build a scalable storefront platform that could house and test these new products and services. As the sole designer on the project while working for Digital Telepathy, I collaborated with her Danielle's early vision and ideas, and extracted what would ultimately become an eCommerce experience leveraging her brand as a thought leader.
A beautiful evolution
Danielle LaPorte's team was looking for options to evolve her site from a blog to a store, and so we conducted audits, competitive research, and brand research that then manifested into a strategic plan of a brand-centric (vs book-centric) eCommerce experience. Site architecture, product positioning, and search were key components our team iterated on in order to achieve a smooth experience for users. Through rapid wireframing and prototyping, we were able to create a scalable system that we then layered with her highly aesthetic and emotive brand style.
